Ohio High Wheel Race 2026Racing Through the Rain

The inaugural Ohio High Wheel Race brought one rain-soaked hour of racing to downtown Plain City, where towering bicycles, elaborate costumes, and a committed crowd turned a first-time event into something that already felt like a tradition.

The first Ohio High Wheel Race arrived with rain. It kept moving anyway.

Riders took on a one-hour race-to-zero around a 0.9-mile loop through downtown Plain City. The wet pavement raised the stakes; the crowd, costumes, and personalities gave the inaugural race an identity entirely its own.

The coverage followed that whole arc: riders preparing beneath the painted flag, the speed and strain of the race, water passed at the curb, spectators under umbrellas, and the expressions that made each rider recognizable. The schedule mattered, but the character was the story.

For events with more personality than a schedule can hold

Keep the weather, the crowd, and the character together.

Strong event coverage gives your team more than a record of what happened. It preserves what the day felt like and creates photographs that can carry the recap, the press, and the next invitation.
