About Glenn Harmon

I photographwhat it felt like.

I’m a commercial photographer based in Columbus, Ohio. I photograph businesses through the people, places, products, and experiences that make them feel like themselves. The work is built for websites, campaigns, reports, social media, press, and the many places a business has to show up.

Much of that work is ongoing rather than one-off. It’s a better way to make pictures. By the third session I already know your room, and we can spend the day chasing something new instead of covering the basics again.

Most of the people I work with do not spend much time in front of a camera. That is kind of the point. I keep things calm and thoughtful so they can stay focused on the work, the room, and each other instead of wondering what to do with their hands.

How I work

Familiarity makes room for better pictures.

  1. 01

    Read the room

I pay attention before I start directing. The light, the pace, the people, and the details that make the place feel like yours all shape the photographs.

  2. 02

    Plan, then stay present

We decide what matters before the session so nobody has to perform for the camera. Once the day starts, I can watch for the unscripted moments in between.

  3. 03

    Come back and go deeper

Familiarity changes the work. Each session gives us more room to move past the expected photographs and make something the last session could not.
